This fictional movie is about the mobile dating app Tinder in which people see profiles and signal attraction by swiping right or pass by swiping left.  This movie is sort of a parody on science fiction and taking a simple idea to an absurd point.

 

I first started with a project set to the dimensions of a IAB Billboard Ad.  I inserted a background image of a space scene.  I chose pictures of a woman and man model and used the Quick Selection tool to remove them from their backgrounds.  I then placed each image on opposite sides of the ad.  I then used Hue/Saturation adjustments for each individual picture layer to match the man and woman to the colors in the background.  I then added the main text "Tinder" using the Telemarine font and added a drop-shadow.  I added the Alien spoof quote "In space no one swipes left" in Prestige font and added a drop shadow along with an identical design for the "December 26th" text.

For the Sidekick ad, the process was similar but I rotated the background image for more dynamics and I placed and sized the hue-adjusted images closer to each other and more equally sized to emphasize the intimacy and placed the "Tinder" title in the middle.  I moved the text so it would encircle the actor's eye and the asteroid.  I then added a "Coming Soon" text with a drop-shadow
